Hi, having read your wonderful site for many weeks, thought it was time to join!
I live with Parrots - but found a beardie in terrible conditions, so paid silly money to get him away from the hell he was in.
Smashed glass on a broken wooden crate, with NO UVB, dodgy heating, the floor covering was his own build up of faeces, never fed anything other than locusts - drastically thin, caked in pooh - need I say more?
The original idea was to find an experienced person to take him - but I quickly fell in love with him and, 2 years later, he's still here!! :lol:
You all seem such a friendly, helpful bunch, I look forward to getting answers to any questions I have.

The beardie is a boy - under the tail - but the face is a girl - very pretty - even the vet refers to him as a she!
I'll try and work out how to get pictures of Niko onto here- not very good with technical things!
She's 24 inches long - but I don't have any idea of her age.

Hello and welcome! Niko sounds like a beautiful dragon, and I look forward to seeing him! I'm not very technical either the easiest way to go about posting pictures is to upload your pictures of Niko on photobucket. Once uploaded to photobucket each picture has an Img code, you copy this Img code and paste it in to the body of your text on beardeddragon.org. Hopefully this helps a little bit, there's also an explanation in the photo expression topic called how to post pics.

Here she is - my baby.
How old would you say? I've had her 2 1/2 years and don't know how old she was when I got her.

Awww, she's adorable! It's impossible to tell how old she is unless you know for sure what her hatch date is.
