Hello everyone,

Hope you are all having a good 2015 so far. I was just wondering how many of you grow greens for your little gals/guys?

It's something I have considered but I just don't know anything about gardening

So have any of you successfully grown greens for your beardies, and if so, which ones?
Would you be willing to share your gardening tips or how you got started.

Thanks, Jen.

I have a square foot garden just for pepper, I'll harvest greens for him or let him run around in it on nice days. There are lots of square did gardening websites. It works for me because our yard is basically solid clay. I'm not so good at gardening and mostly hope for the best. I have a small drip irrigation system for it and have grown collards, turnip, mustard and kale greens. It's worth mentioning that most greens are "cool weather" crops and mine tend to bolt and flower in warm weather. I also grow clover, dandelion, nasturtiums and peas for him (these are easier for me than the greens).

I started growing Kale and squash last year. I like having control over what goes into the food (no pesticides or nasty stuff) and I can continue growing some of it inside during the winter. I'll expand to grow some additional items this summer. Maybe some dandelion and some turnip greens.

I've been doing a little looking around, and I may plant some mustard greens, dandelions, and possibly some collards. It seems like I may be able to do those :)
I'd love to plant some red peppers too, but we will see.

Anyone else out there grow stuff for their beardies?

Depending on where you live peppers are usually started really early indoors or you can buy plants. :)

I'll check into the peppers. I live in Southern California, so I don't know how that is for peppers.

Why is it that when I try to grow "weeds" I can't? I can't get dandelions or clover to grow where I need it to. Of course it's all over the yard, but the yard gets sprayed so it's a no-no!!!!!
Anyone grow things inside?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
