He is pretty cool and very docile. I named him Leonidas because King Leonidas in the movie 300 had an intense beard. He seems to only want to eat one or two crickets a day but hopefully he will start to eat more. Let me know what you guys think of him.

Edit: Oh yeah my name is David and I am new to reptiles as pets as well as to the forums. I may end up asking you guys a lot of questions but I apologize in advance if that's an annoyance.

Hey Dave. =P I'm Corey. Welcome to the boards! :D

Though I probably won't be able to answer some of your questions, I am very sure a lot of people on here would be glad to. And I am VERY sure that you will not come off as annoying. :) On here people are very glad to help and would prefer if you would ask! xD

Once again, welcome! Cute little drag you got there. :p

Hi David!
Welcome to the wonderful world of bearded dragons, you'll be addicted in no time. You've come to the right place for information. My fiance and I have learned SO much from this website, it literally saved our first bearded dragons life when he was a baby because we were informed by the petstore of wrong instructions on how to keep him. Simply reading through the forums here will help you a ton. I don't want to offend you with unsolicited advice, but being as it was one of the things that really hurt our first little guy, from the picture you posted it looks like you have sand in the bottom of your guy's tank ? That can be really harmful to them because being so little they "taste" their surroundings, you may see him licking the sand or branches, etc., he also may pick some up when eating a cricket, but the sand does not actually digest in their stomach and causes a lot of nasty problems such as impaction. We have both our beardies on cabinet liner (so much easier to keep clean too!) Just wanted to give you that bit of advice :)

Petunia thanks for the heads up on the sand as I was not aware of that. However if you look closely you will notice that its actually reptile carpet that came with the desert kit I bought at the store when I got him (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4070846). Also thanks everyone to for the welcomes to the forum. This should be a great resource.

Oh geeze I'm sorry I thought I was providing my first bit of good advice  Ya know, I looked at the picture 10 times because I couldn't tell if it was sand or not, and I finally decided it was because it seems like there's sort of a hill in the back and it looked like a grainy texture. Oh well, I would rather be wrong than not say anything if it really had been sand :) Happy dragon raising, looks like you're doing a great job so far.

It is understandable petunia. I could see how the hill in the background could be confusing like that. Thats just the way the carpet since because it hasn't fully be broken in yet since I unpackaged it. The are some creases that I am trying to workout buy putting his rock over to straight it out.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
