Try not to give meal worms apperantly their not good because they have a hard exoskeleton and he could just have relocation stress just keep trying

Greens are good for your beardie, you're lucky he is eager to eat them! But I think I am confused -

You say that your guy isn't eating his live crickets, but then you haven't had a chance to give him crickets?

I'd imagine live feeders attract more attention than freeze dried ones; or any not-alive food for that matter. I was at first going to say he has relocation stress, but if he is eating everything else, maybe that's not the case. Are you feeding him in his tank, or in a separate rubbermaid? Maybe he feels overwhelmed chasing this crickets all around his tank? Perhaps concentrating them in a rubbermade or something else, and feeding him in that may help him along?

Just remember - as beardies grow their diets should change. Babies required a lot more live feeders than adults. In some cases, people are fortunate enough to have young beardies LOVE their salads. As long as he is eating (and is out of that crucial growing stage) I wouldn't worry. Keep offering both salads, and crickets and hopefully he eventually takes. Maybe he doesn't prefer crickets? Other options to feed are reptiworms, hornworms, silkworms, or dubia roaches (though, if you are Canadian or living in certain states, you might find these hard to find).Superworms are addictive, and I know some people do not like them as a staple feeder. Maybe your beardie just seems some spice and variety in what he eats?

Good luck!
Well I have been giving him meal worms, he has freeze dried food but he prefers the worms again. The guy I bought him from said he feeds his beardie about 30 crickets a week on top of greens and freeze dried stuff/meal worms for little snacks. He is eating the greens only right now, and goes after them like i've seen videos of other beardies go after crickets! I just hope he doesn't die from malnutrition.. Oh btw he's 5 months, just got him 2-3 days ago, also he IS shedding big time.

Awh! They do grow like weeds. He looks HUGE in the photos you have posted!

Zeusmybeardie is right about the meal worms though - They can be harmful.

How long is your beardie? Once they are greater than 16 inches, you can certainly try superworms? Hopefully everything works out. :D Just offer up some variety.

Also with the relocation stress, shedding, ect it's a wonder he eats at all! Sometimes shedding is enough to decrease an appetite. Just be patient. It's takes a while to work out the kinks, but as the days go on, and you start to learn the little quirks of your beardie it should all go well.

I am trying to get him to eat crickets, but he won't eat them at all! I put a worm in front of him, he eats it immediately. Not sure what to do, he'll eat his greens just fine, he is being bathed every 2-3 days, (bathed twice now since i've had him). He'll even eat his alfalfa meal for his bedding more than the crickets. i put a few in front of him one that recently died and he ate it. Not sure what to do =/

^ Then superworms are certainly a suitable feeder. :) Good luck with them! Bindy never took to them, I was SOO grateful! They bite >.<

I do not think it's a common occurance. We bought some for Bindy to try, and I was trying to spark her interest (like I said, she never took to them) and as he was flailing around in my finger I felt a sharp little pain. The worm definitely bit me, the bugger. =/

Yikes. Hesitant about that, but my beardie is not eating. Also worms are very very expesive. 7.99-8.99 for a 100 at my local pet shop. Anyway is 16 inches at 5 months a little too big? the owner i got him from said he was only 4-5 months :O

You could use those giant feeder tweezers? Maybe? Or just place them in a steep bowl?

Do not worry about overgrowth! You want your beardie to be healthy and happy :) It's a sign that your babe is being taken care of properly, and is growing up :) They do slow down as they get older. Just keep up your regime. How often do you feed feeders? When Bindy hit 7-8 months we cut feedings from twice a day to once a day.. (this was more of a financial reason than anything. we couldn't afford it.) .. She always had a salad though so even if she didn't get her fill of cricks she could certainly eat that salad (it's always heaping) ...

He doesn't eat feeders... I have some leftover mealworms but he wont eat them either unless i dust them in calcium which isn't good ALL the time. HE LOVES anything WHITE, it's so weird. Also he's only eating freeze dried crickets dusted, and will only eat like 5-6 and UNLESS put in front of his face, he won't eat it. He's pretty spoiled I think, he was when I picked him up the guy was hand feeding him worms. I guess he didn't feed him live food much other than 3 times a week because they become aggressive otherwise, that's what the guy told me. And he worked at a reptile store. He's pretty big and healthy, so I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
