okay so im thinking about ordering this male tonight to breed next season. he will be bred with my red orange translucent het hypo and possibly 2 other females.

Not sure on your females genetics but this male is definitely a future breeder. You would get definite double hets and leather back double hets and possibly translucents het hypo and leather trans het hypo.

sorry the ad has been removed now because i ordered it last night. im sure its still on the breeders website though, texasdragonlab.com its the hypo red male thats on there for 200$ hes only got 4 for sale so it shouldnt be hard to find

Your female is not going to be ready to breed next season. Your female is only 4 months old now!! Be careful spending too much money on male dragons when your females aren't ready. You can only breed a female to ONE male per year, and they lay 1-5 clutches from one mating.

Doesn't this mean you will have 3 breeding size males and only 1 breeding size female?

yea females need to be at least 18-24 months before breeding them... and like mentioned b4 they store the sperm from one successful mating and use that to produc multiple clutches of eggs. not trying to be offensive at all, but I would suggest that you do a little more reading and research on breeding before trying it, and then you should be fine...its more complicated than it seems..and the dragons health is more important also.

oh no i know about the one male per yr and the stored sperm and everything, and my smaller female is almsot 6 months. she was born oct. 3 or 4th. so on april 3-4 she will be 6 months. ill probably breed her next may to this male i got today. i dont care if i have more breedable maloes than females for a year because i enjoy having them either way, il be biuying a female for my white trans over the summer so it will end out being 3 pairs in the end. then maybe more depending on how it goes.
