Good Enclosure

Hey guys I'm new here.
I am going to be getting my first beardie(after wanting one for the past 8 years) and was wondering what a good enclosure would be. I am looking for a glass one 48 inches long 24 inches deep and 17 inches high. I appreciate all help guys

48X24X17 sounds good. I started off with a 40 gallon breeder tank, but my bearded dragon outgrew that quick, I switched to a 75 gallon tank next and just recently I made a custom enclosure. You could wait for christmas specials I know Petco and Petsmart sometimes have $1 per gallon sales which is a lot cheaper than buying regular price. You can also make your own, it's not that hard and it's a lot cheaper than buying a brand new tank/enclosure.

I honestly don't. The one I initially bought was a Zilla. The 75 gallon I bought at a yard sale someone was having and it didn't have a brand or anything. I think one of the more popular ones is Top Fin. But I'd highly recommend you check out the custom built enclosures if you're going to spend more than $200. I actually made two 4x2x2 enclosures with about $250 with lights and everything. They're not perfect and they still need a little work but overall I think they're way better than just a plain tank. I bet you could ask around Petco and Petsmart if they know what's going to be on sale. Usually the employees will know before hand and most of them will be friendly enough to let you know.

Great, thank you so much, I'm going to try and get it as soon possible, trying to get the actual dragon next weekend. Like I said, really appreciate it

If you can get the Critter Condos they are awesome! They are wood enclosures so keep the heat in and come with vents and electrical components already hooked up.

UPDATE: Ordering the cage right now, getting an exo-terra, 36x18x18 a little smaller than what I wanted, vut it seems like it will be ok.

It's a good one, minimum size for an adult so it will work for the whole life of your dragon and opens from the front. Only downside of course is it's glass but a lot of people here have glass so it's just fine. Only thing to remember about aquariums as opposed to vivs is make sure to mount your UVB inside instead of on top of the screen.

Hi,
I'm just wondering why you need to mount your UVB inside? Both of my light are sitting on top of the tank.... I have a glass enclosure that's built for lizards and opens from the front. Literally just adopted a beardie last night and I'm a complete noob.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
