Golden gecko problems

I got a golden gecko a few months back at a reptile show, and hes crazily skittish. Whenever a loud noise is made, he goes nutso and runs around the wall. HEs in a 29 gal. tall top opening cage. Do any of you think that an exoterra front opening would be better?? :lol:

From what I understand of Golden Geckos, they are more of a look don't touch reptile. As for cages, I guess the front opening would be better so you don't have to keep moving the lights whenever you open the viv to feed and mist them.
