YAY! I gave Gizmo some crickets, about 10, and he ate them! I decided to put a salad in and left the room and when I came back in he was eating that too!
Oh that s great! I dont know if you have yet but you can deff take him outside, just make sure you keep him in your lap you dont want to lose him outside. I take Judah out everyday to eat in the garden I have. 20min per day is good and will supply a sufficent amount of UV for the day acctually. BTW here is the thread on the Powersun. Not only have they been causing eye problems but thye dont produce very good amounts of UV which can cause the lethragia. Also just an FYI since you already have the "screw in" type fixture I believe it would be less expensive for you to get the Solor Glo. With the Reptasun you will need a reg house hold bulb setting next to it as well to help them focus their eyes. So then you will need to buy anouther fixture for that too. With the Solor Glo you can use it on its own. You shoudl be able to take your Powersun back to where you bought and get your money back. Most places are pretty good about that.
Here is a post that Barb, Zak & Whezies mom; sent to me:
Not sure if you've read up on the threads about the PowerSun or not but I think I had a bad one. Here's a link to the thread where Tracie posted some links.

Bender's alright I'm sure I caught it in time.
I did take Gizmo out while I walked around my house. It was only for about 5 minutes since it was only the second time he has been outside. He staid perched on my shoulder and only started panicking when my cat walked by. Before I decide on what UVB light to get I am going to do some research. Oh, another thing, Gizmo has these "stress marks" a lot on his belly and neck. When the powersun was on they were darker but now that its off and he has started eating they are fairly light, but still show (not when he is sleeping though). Is that normal? FYI all his temps and humidity are correct.
Little dragons have verious types of marking that fade or change as they get older. Also, ALL dragons change color depending on the level of sunlight they are trying to capture. Judah use to have very dark what I call leapord markings on his belly and underside. They often got lighter at night. Now that he is older these are not as perdominate and look nothing like he stress markes when he black beards me. These leapord spot dont darken at all. At night he turns bright bright yellow. Durning the day he is soemtimes blackish green or even orange. It all depends on the temps the sunlight and happy mood.
Here is a pic of Judahs belly when he was about the same age as your dragon. And no he was not stressed it always looked like this
That's close to how Gizmo looks. He normally doesn't have a black beard with them, only when he eats or I accidentally wake him up. At night they are barely there and he is a darkish brown with light brown markings. During the day he changes his colors on the activity he is doing. When he is eating he's sort of a blackish brown, when he's "sunbathing" whether on my shoulder outside or under his heat light he's a dark brown color with those marks. Now when he gets a bath I know those are stress marks as they are very dark and he has a black beard. The water is warm, the same temp I use for my ball python, he just doesn't like them currently. As soon as I take him out he lightens up. Those marks are always there though so I was simply curious about them
