Gizmo "The Burninator" - Pics added 4/27 (Day at the park)

I've decided to use this thread to chronicle the (mis)adventures of Gizmo... enjoy.


Post 1: 3/12
Tonight was the first time I gave him a bath... I've had him about a week (he had a bath a week ago tomorrow)... I've been giving him a chance to get used to me before I dragged him out to a big bathtub (his old mom just washed him in a little bowl).

After a few initial minutes of panicking, he ended up happily scooting around. He even came over to my hand to get picked up at the end! :love10:

Gave him some Calciworms and a few Superworms as a treat for being so good.

Last night I moved Gizmo into his new home... it's MUCH bigger than his old one, so now he'll be able to chase that pesky dragon reflection all over the place :laughhard:

I got a whole new lighting hood, plus a dome basking lamp.

He got a new furniture: a stick, a huge new rock hide, a basking rock, plus a hammock.

Gave him some worms and a big bowl of veggies once I got him transferred to help him settle in a little.

Oh the places he'll go...

Now, if only he'd stop attacking mirror dragon for a minute and relax a little!... :roll:

In his old cage, he didn't have any place to hide, so when I got him the new giant rock hide I wasn't sure if he'd like it, but I came home yesterday, and he was happily asleep in it! Woke him up by walking in the house, so of course I got some good pictures..... :laughing6:

Let him out to run around the kitchen today.... after 10 minutes of sitting there frozen, and 10 worms to get him relaxed, he finally started exploring... and for some reason tried to climb up my oven??? Very determined little guy, even if it doesn't always make sense!..... my favorite part was when he walked over to me and climbed up onto my leg, snuggled down, and just sat there for a few minutes with me. This was the first time he gave me a cuddle.... I'm definitely in love :love5:

Woke up this morning and walked over to say hi to little Gizmo... he's definitely NOT a morning dragon. I've noticed that he doesn't like to be handled in the morning, and is usually solidly black. This morning though he had a full beard!

Update: GIZMO IS A BOY!!!!!

I wanted to take her/him to the store to see if I could get her weighed, and to ask a few questions about vitamins... I figured while I was at it I should get verification about the sex, since I showed someone a picture once and they said that at first glance it looked like a boy...

All this time the poor guy has been called a she. OOPS!!!

Good thing "Gizmo" works for a boy or a girl.... :lol:

I love your rocks, where'd you get them? I have something similar (got them at Home Depot) but yours look much nicer.
