I've decided to use this thread to chronicle the (mis)adventures of Gizmo... enjoy.

Post 1: 3/12
Tonight was the first time I gave him a bath... I've had him about a week (he had a bath a week ago tomorrow)... I've been giving him a chance to get used to me before I dragged him out to a big bathtub (his old mom just washed him in a little bowl).

After a few initial minutes of panicking, he ended up happily scooting around. He even came over to my hand to get picked up at the end! :love10:

Gave him some Calciworms and a few Superworms as a treat for being so good.

Happy Spring, everyone!

These are pictures from Gizmo's first adventure at the park a few weeks ago (pre-shed!).

When I put him down in front of me, he got scared and immediately ran over and hugged my leg for comfort. lol.

After a few minutes he relaxed, and ran and wiggled around in the grass (I love having that leash!) I met a woman in the park who was walking her dog, who was enthralled with Gizmo. She said she'd had a beardie before, but that it didn't occur to her to get him a leash and take him outside. It's a shame that some people don't try to explore the outside world with their little dragons. If you haven't, I highly suggest that you do! :blob8:

Gizmos colors are so brilliant! It looks like he had fun.
This makes me want to take Cinder out to explore the world, but I know I will just have to wait until he grows up...hes too small for a leash now!
I'm nervous about taking him outside though. I'm worried he would get parasites from eating grass, or mites. Have you ever thought about this, or am I just a big worry-wort?

So Cinder is a little one, huh? Someday he'll be big enough to handle the big scary outdoors!

I'm not too concerned about parasites or anything. He didn't make any moves to eat the grass or towards any bugs, and I gave him a bath right after in an attempt to keep outdoors out of my indoors. So far so good!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
