frozen or live pinkies

i buy my beardie frozen pinkies but he doesnt like them, i thaw them and everything but he doesnt like them, he gets cricets regularly so its not a big issue I was just wondering if he would like live pinkies better or does he just not like pinkies in general ?????

I personally don't like anything after its been frozen either especially my protein...I find some beardies have a hard time digesting pinkies so I don't feed them, I'm also afraid the mouse will bite my dragon.

If you really want to feed pinkies then live is the best option. If your looking for variety there are a lot of other healthier options out there.

I recommend not feeding them pinkies, they are very high in fat and pretty much entirely unhealthy. There kind of like Über mcdonalds for beardies. Stick to crickets, dubias, and supers

Personally, I would never feed pinkies to my beardie. Too high a risk of impaction without very much nutritional benefit.

Please, don't feed your beardie pinkies! My poor Putzy was fed them by his previous owner, and I lost him due to fatty liver disease and intestinal scarring. He literally starved to death with a fat belly. He was unable to eat and digest much of his solid food. The last year of his life, was spent struggling to swallow a couple of teaspoons of baby food, at every feeding. He was constantly impacted, had trouble passing his fecal and urates, often going a week between poops and straining to get them out. Even through he was bathed daily, to help him pass them.

I know some breeders feed them to the pregnant females to add some extra weight. This is the only way I would ever think about doing it.
