Found Plastic Tracks! What is the best way to install?

I am from Ontario Canada and I have found the plastic sliding door tracks at millwork here in Oshawa. http://www.millworkhome.com/. I paid $10.00 for 4' kit.

As for installing do I really need a board in front and behind the tracks like the crossfire instructions or will liquid nails hold it in place without the bulky support?

I just used loctite powergrab to install my tracks. Been going strong for 3yrs now.

Did you just install them on top of the "substrate ledge" or did you have a board infront and behind like the crossfire instructions?

I am hoping an adhesive like liquid nails or no more nails will hold it on it own. I want to avoid using acres as well. Just haven't had any experience with glueing plastic. I couldn't find aluminum tracks.

Just put them on top of the substrate ledge.
