Just kidding,
So I'm new to signing up for this forum, however I have been lurking these boards non-stop for the past 3 weeks. The information I have learned has been very helpful. My son (age 7) has decided that he wanted a lizard, and I do not do "snakey" looking critters at all! So we compromised and after seeing some bearded dragons in person, I noticed their lack of a forked tongue, slithering attributes, and I really liked that they seemed to follow us like puppies. So here we are today, I have started building the enclosure for the future bearded dragon. I went with the crossfire enclosure build, using 3/4 inch plywood. I also picked up some discount tile for the flooring of the enclosure, and the vents.
We are going to be attending the repticon show in Raleigh, NC at the end of November, so we have some time to get this enclosure finished, furnish it, and then get the temp adjusted for it correctly well before ever bringing home a new dragon.
I will be having to pick your brains on the lighting size for the crossfire when the time comes, and I'm sure it's only begun with what all needs to be learned!
We look forward to the journey and I appreciate all of the helpful information we have already picked up off this site!
