I’m wondering who’s ever had to treat a juvie for pinworms and how your experience was. I just had a fecal done for my girl, I’m guessing she’s about 4 months old, because she was lethargic and not interested in food. I got the results today and she tested positive for pinworms. Unfortunately, the exotics vet wasn’t in today so I have to wait until tomorrow to speak to her. As a precaution, the vet started her on Albon Friday, but now it sounds like we need a new medication.
I’m worried that she hasn’t been eating on her own. I’ve been getting baby food and soy yogurt into her, but she’s not interested in her feeders or salad. She has been active and alert the past couple of days since starting treatment.
So with all of that said, how hard is it to treat pinworms? What is the outlook for her? Any other advice is welcome.
