SECOND Reptile Show...
This one was really small--maybe half the size of the first show we went to. Many/most of the vendors were the same--not all, but we thought that was good in case any were having an off day, or other details might have changed.
Best price on cork rounds at the last show was $9/lb. At this show, it was $8/lb. Some of the prices of other things--decor items, supplies, animals--also seemed slightly lower. I've seen this at other kinds of shows in the past--prices proportionate to crowd size, table fees, etc. Many of the vendors remembered us too. This show didn't have a website or vendor list, so I brought lined sheets on my clipboard and wrote down names, notes, & impressions by hand. We're getting a better feel for local breeders.
2 shows to go til D-Day (Dragon-Day!)
Gotta get my butt in-gear on the enclosure & other preparations.
