This is great! I am very happy he is eating greens. You are more then welcome, I am very happy to help.
Just out of curiosity can you post a good clear image of the spot on his back?
Have you seen his colors lighten up yet?

He ate more greens today and his poop was more solid. It was more of a gelatinous blob than liquidy mush, and I can see strands in his poop from the veggies. Maybe he had diarrhea because he wasn't getting his greens?

As soon as my boyfriend comes home with his camera today, I'll take a clear picture of that spot on his back to show you (around 5:30). He is definitely losing scales along that spot, and it looks puffy.

Yes, I am starting to see his colors lighten and brighten, it's as if you read my mind. Seriously, just 5 minutes ago I was wondering if it was normal or if it was trouble. His face is showing some brighter yellow and some orange tinges in between his scales which definitely were not there before, instead of just dark brown and tan in between his scales. Why is this happening?

Also, he's starting to close his mouth while basking if he sees me walk into the room. I think he's onto me putting greens in there, ha.

Because he is doing better with a better owner.

I'm a little late in getting to it, but here are the pictures!

Wow, it looks pretty bad, especially with the camera's zoom and flash. Those pictures are bigger than they appear, but the website shrinks them. If it's helpful, you can view them in their full size by right clicking the image and then clicking 'view image'.

I thought it was yellow fungus, but now I'm starting to think maybe it's a skin infection. I can make some betadine since i have some iodine here, but I didn't want to make it all orangey before getting some good pictures of what it looks like. I also have topical antibiotics. Still though, I'm not sure what the line of attack is on something like this.

Also I just lost my car, so I can't drive to work at the vet's office, or else i could take samples and analyze them myself. I don't have the money to see an outside vet right now and probably wont have the money until I get a new car. =/

I am not 100% sure on that, possibly a scar or something else.

I think I'm going to make a separate post on it. I want to be able to catch it early if its something serious.

Great idea. How is he doing? Putting on weight?

He ate all of his veggies this morning! =D I think he is either getting used to them or I need to feed them to him before the crickets in the morning. He is 342g, but I don't know how much he weighed before when I got him because I didn't think to weigh him then. I'm going to keep weekly tabs on him now. His belly definitely LOOKS rounder, but I'm not really sure if he's gaining fat around the rest of his body. I can tell you for sure that he is much more energetic than when I first got him. He went from a grumpy couch potato to REALLY FEISTY. I'm not sure his previous owners handled him very much, ha.

I also found him some logs today on the way home and I'm reading up on how to clean them and introduce them to his tank so he has something to stand and climb on besides paper towels. I have in mind building a little platform for him to hide under, but I'm still trying to work out how I'm going to do that without too many tools.

There is some great advice on building platforms from Styrofoam in the DIY section.
Most people will feed the salad first before the feeders. He will have to build back up to restoring his fat stores, takes time but, as long as there is progress then that is what you should be aiming for.
I am glad he is doing better and had the energy to fight and tussle, LOL keep handling him daily and he will come around on that part. :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
