Finding a 48" Light Fixture for a 5' Viv

I'm pricing out the materials to build Dewey a new enclosure. I'm planning for a 4x2x2 as well as a 5x2x2. If the cost difference isn't super huge, I'll probably with the 5'. The problem is that I can't seem to find a light fixture for a 4' ReptiSun. I found one on Home Depot's site that matches the criteria, but it's a 2 light fixture. I'm not going to be running 2 ReptiSun's so that one's out. The other has it listed as a 32watt fixture, but the ReptiSun is a 36watt. Could this work or would it be dangerous? I know nothing about electricity so I don't know if this matters or not. If I can't use that one, do any of you know of a light fixture that I could use?

If you build a 4' viv i would use a 3' light and a 4' light for a 5'viv.
32watt, 36watt. No problem.

I built my viv and had this exact same problem.. I was ready to pull my hair out! lol My viv is 4x2x2 and I have a 24' reptisun which is just fine.. I got my undercabinet light fixture from walmart for about $8..

That's the problem I'm having. IF I do the 5', I can't find a light fixture for the 4' UVB. I was able to find it for the 3' so that wouldn't be a problem.

If you don't mind me asking...where did you find a fixture for the 36inch bulb? I can't find one anywhere unless it is for 2 bulbs. Thanks!

Check out this website... This is the company tht makes the Undercabinet lights that I found at walmart.. They have more of a selection here..

Would using a 36" bulb be ok for a 5' (60") viv so long as I have his basking area within the recommended distance? I worry that it's not going to be enough, but I could also have the bulb more centered so it would only be the far edges of the viv that wouldn't get the rays directly. Aside from that I really don't see how I could do a 5' viv unless I end up running (2) 24" bulbs side by side.

this website here has a 36" undercabinet fixture that will fit the reptisun

with the doubles, you don't necessarily have to use both things, or you could put just a regular tube for extra light.

Thanks! I just get really frustrated when things don't go as I plan (or in this case, as I try to plan). I'm still working on it though.

I use the 48 inch light inside a shop light fixture that we got at Walmart for $10.
