Femoral pores

Hi guys!

I've just noticed that Gary now has femoral pores! They're becoming quite noticable!

So, what exactly does this mean? That he's reached sexual maturity? That he's an adult now? Is he older than we thought he was? We only thought he was about 9 months old. Would this be possible?

sexual maturity aside all it means is that you have a healthy male... only thing to watch for is to make sure they do not become impacted or infected. provide correct humidity and hard surfaces for him to rub against. i dont believe there is an actual age at which they become more visible, it would tend to be more related to the size of the animal.
