Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me. Last week I got 2 beardies, a male and a female. The people who had them before kept them in same viv and they were used as a breading pair. I decided straight away I didn't want to breed them as I wanted them as pets not to make money...Anyway, I put them in separate viva and they seem happy enough. My worry is regarding the female (Bonnie) the last few days she's been restless and digging about her viv so I got more sand and moistened it at one end in case they mated before I got them. So yesterday I noticed a yellow discoloured egg (i believe that to be infertile so I was a bit relieved) then last night she laid another then when I got up this moring there was one more (3 in total) my worry is that I've ready they are ment to lay between 10-20 and if not there could be a problem. How long do I leave her before I seek help from the vet? She's very quiet today and hasn't moved in a few hours and she hasn't touched any of her food from yesterday or her fresh food this morning. She's just kind of slumped on the glass looking out. Please can someone help as I'm worried.

Hi there....she may be looking for a more ideal [ to her ] place to lay them. If you go to the breeding forum here, there are instructions in a thread called " what to do when your dragon lays eggs " at the top of the page on how to make a lay box. Basically a large 18 quart tall tote with about 10" of sand, damp, then you can pile most of it on one side and start a cave for her by digging out a bit by hand. If you can't get a tote quickly, then for now pile the damp sand in her tank up on one side and put a large shoe box upside down to make a cave. Cut one end of the box off as an entrance to her " cave ". Sometimes that will work.

Thanks, I'll go try that now. I gave her a bath and a little treat (a few meal worms, she's already some this week but I though a few extra would be ok since she hasn't ate much. She ate some so feeling a bit better about that) she seems a lot livelier and even wanted out for a cuddle. I'll go try the shoe box cave idea. Thank you :)

I would avoid feeding mealworms, as they can cause impaction (I know that its mostly in babies/juveniles but it doesn't hurt to play it safe)

Try silkworms or butter worms, or phoenix worms as an alternate treat ;)

Oh...Ok, thank you. I'll get some tomorrow. I thought I was doing a good thing giving her an extra treat. Grateful for the advice :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
