Feeding Update on my new Beardie(Ambush)

Well I've had him for about 3 weeks he's about 12 weeks old now. Well I was using crickets as feeders and I also started breeding them that sucked. Ok on the point of my post, I ordered 100 Dubia's yesterday and they arrived today. He's eaten all of them in 1 day, they may sound normal but the crazy part is he's only eaten about 50 crickets since I've had him so of course I've made the switch to Dubia's and I start my new colony tomorrow. Sorry if this is a ramble but I'm just really happy to see him eating so well for once thanks all.

He ate all 100 Dubias? Thats too much. Especially if you intend to start a colony, you may want to invest in 500,000 Dubias and Buy Out the www.TheRoachGuy.com if you want to keep up that quantitiy during each feeding! I would slow it down a bit to 10-15 larger juvenile Dubias....


Where they nymphs or Mixed sizes that he/she ate?

I'm thinkin that he probably ate small nymphs. There's no way they'd be able to fit 100 of anything larger, especially at 12 weeks old. That actually doesn't sound like it's too much, but I would have to agree on feeding much smaller quantities of larger nymphs.

They were small nymphs no bigger than the gap between his eyes. I was doing a little more research on Dubias and apparently because of the meat to shell ratio he can eat fewer roaches. But I used the 10 min rule when feeding him and he just ran through those little roaches.
