Hi! I am a new beardie owner as of today, and while hearing from every website and pet show owner out there, I am now confused as to what and how I should feed my beardie.

This is currently my diet plan for it, it is 4 months old by the way
- Mix of kale, carrot, bok choy all day, changed twice a day
- Crickets twice a day approximately 15 each time, dusted only once per feeding

What other supplements should I get or what about the diet plan should I change? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am so confused right now!

The feeding plan is very strongly governed by how old the beardie is ....

At 4 months old I'd be focusing on giving at least 2 live insect feeds per day (3 feeds per day if this manageable) and I'd be offering greens and grated veg daily so they can nibble on them if they recognise them as food (after they've had their first insect feed , first insect feed per day in AM and should be the biggest insect meal).

Peppa and Toothless were gobbling down up to 30 medium (1/3 sized) crickets per day each ( spread over 2 meals) and up to 8 medium silkworms per day each at 4 months old.

How many crickets should I give per each insect feed for each feeding? Until it stops eating? Are crickets enough? And are the greens that I am giving good greens or should I change the greens to something else? I heard problems regarding kale which makes me confused because some websites promote kale as well. Thanks alot!

I gave about 15 - 20 crickets in am, then offered greens and grated veg and some silkworms (on a bit of fresh mulberry leaf) in mid afternoon along with offering the rest of their cricket ration .
This is what worked for us.

The diet your offering seems OK to me.

You can add BSF maggots (larger ones maybe) , silkworms (a 4 month old will handle a medium silkworm with no difficulty).
Refer to BeautifulBeardies for foods that are good. The breeder I bought Peppa and Toothless from ( at 5 weeks old ) gave them kale , I give puk and buk choi greens and my guys all like choi better.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
