Feeding... one, two, or three times a day?

How many times per day I should feed Bill, my dragon?
He is a baby, 6 inches long. I cannot feed him 3x a day... but In the morning I always give him a small dish of vegies with pellets and I feed him crix in the evening.
I'm not sure that he eat the salad, but I saw him nibbling the green once. Sometime I can see the evidence that he "touch" his salad during the day, because I saw the vegies on his tank floor, but I'm not sure that he really eat it or just walk on it...

If you can't feed him three times a day, at least feed him crickets twice a day. Or, you said you ordered phoenix worms, you can feed them in the morning and crix in the evening. Give him as much as he wants in 15 minutes..

Can I feed the dragon more than that? For example during the weekend I will be able to feed him more often.
Also, can I feed him not at the same time? or it is better stick to the regular schedule?

I prefer to stick with a schedule, but I am like that with everything I do!

I imagine that it would be fine to feed him 3x on the weekends. Maybe on the extra feeding, you can take him out and feed him phoenix worms outside of the tank. It would make for good bonding time

Are you dusting your foods with calcium & vitamins?

I dust the cricket with calcium. What vitamin should I give him?
I usually feed him outside the tank, I put him in a plastic container. Some people said that the hand feed their dragon? how they did that?
Mine is still too shy (I got him three weeks ago), every time I hold him he always close his eyes. I think he just need to get used to me. It's normal, right?

Hi, our beardie is now about 5 months and has only just started to feed out of our hands mainly wax worms. Re the vitimins and calcium powder i was told by a breader to use 1 teaspoon muti vitimins recommended by your pet shop and 2 teaspoons of calcium. Use this ratio in a sprinkler used for dusting cakes and your beardie will always get the right amount i put it on everything i feed , but our beardie is not eatin greens yet. Good luck.

It's very normal for him to act that way. They need a while to learn to trust.

You should also start dusting him with a multivitamin 2x weekly, one feeding a day.
Hand feeding can mean a few different things..
