Feeding Frequency

Hi All

Planning on getting a bearded dragon, have viv, and planning out the rest first. One thing that I'm unsure about is how much time they require when young. The issue is, I leave for work roughly 07:30 Monday - Friday and get home roughly 18:30. Now I could feed them in the morning before I go to work and when I get home. Is this to long a period between feedings?

Outside of feeding, is this too long to leave them alone, I'm guessing not as they are quite capable of being on their own, right? When I am home they will be seeing me all the time, as I spend most of my time were I have the viv. Thanks for the advice in advance.

That should be fine. Just a feeding in the morning and then again once you get home. They are solitary animals and are okay with not having tons of attention usually. When they are babies, though, it is good to get them as used to you as possible, so that they trust you and aren't afraid of you. But your schedule is fine. if it is already eating veggies, you can just put a hefty amount of veggies in the morning so that if it doesn't eat it all right away, it has the option to eat the rest throughout the day. Then take it out at the end of the day.
