Fancy bearded dragon

I bought Ryu at pet smart this past February and they had him listed as a fancy bearded dragon. I'm kinda under the impression that they just labeled him as Fancy because he was a different color and they wanted more money, but I thought maybe it wouldn't hurt to post a picture of him and see if he was a particular morph? Or maybe he is just a regular beardie, which I'm ok with too

Let me know what you guys think..

He looks like some sort of citrus to me, but I definetly no expert. Whatever morph he is, he is so hansome.

He is only 8 months old but already 22" long so I'm hoping he still has some growing time left!

He'll probably get a little bit bigger. But like I said I'm no expert. I do know my beardie is only 5 months and seems to grow an inch a week.

Your dragon is very handsome and looking a little spoiled. I agree with you about the Petsmart thing. Our little Hemi that we got from Petsmart 3 weeks ago was in the fancy bearded dragon cage which was right beside the regular beardie cage. The only difference between all the dragons in the two different cages where the ones in the regular cage were all babies, and the only two in the fancy dragon cage were bigger. I told my hubby they moved these two to the fancy dragon cage and charged more for them because they were bigger and didn't want to mix them with the babies. He says they are charging more cause they had them longer and fed them. I think they put them where ever space allows. So our little Hemi came from the more expensive fancy dragon cage because he was larger, stronger, and well established. Now we are so thrilled I don't really care how much he costed, never had another thought about it. Just thrilled to have a happy healthy dragon who is currently under my hoodie asleep on my tummy. Awwww...I just felt a little butt wiggle guess he is getting more comfy. I love bedtime cause it is the only time he is still!!!!!!! I have no idea what color Hemi will be, fancy or not...I am with you on that...it don't matter...we love them just the same.

That looks like a regular morph to me, but yea he might have been labeled as fancy due to his size - 8 months and 22 inches is pretty huge. Petsmart has been known to be drastically wrong about the age of the beardies they sell though, so he could possibly be a bit older. Very cute and healthy looking though!

Ya a reptile rescue person looked at him and also said he was huge for his age. He was smaller then my index finger when we got him . They said he was born in Feb or late jan but I guess we can't be sure. He grew like a weed tho!

I have no idea what color Hemi will be, fancy or not...I am with you on that...it don't matter...we love them just the same.

I totally agree with you! It doesn' t matter if they are fancy or not! They are still beautiful!!
