falkor's story

so, i thought i'd go ahead and start up an ongoing thread for falkor. if you're interested in reading about his beginnings and the mini adventure i've gone through trying to right the wrongs of the pet store, check out my introduction thread here - viewtopic.php?f=44&t=131036&start=0. either way, i'm going to go ahead and repost the pictures from that thread and continue to add to them


the day i brought him home along with his original setup:

his current setup (the middle is a little dirty from calcium dust - time to clean the carpet)

almost looks like it could have been take outside - well, except for that black cord ;-)

here's a funny shot i took the other night of him sleeping. he normally sleeps up on his branch, but on this particular night, he didn't quite make it before falling asleep :-D

i just bought some slate tile tonight and i have it all ready to go in. that'll happen as soon as i get out of work tomorrow. count on some more pictures then. i'm so excited - i think it'll look really cool :-D

well, falkor seems to be getting even sleepier. she spends most of her time lately on her hammock and only basks under the light for maybe a few hours a day. i'm debating on putting in a hide for her. i really wonder if she wants to go to sleep full-time, but she still loves to get out and hang out with me, so i don't know. she didn't gain any weight this week - didn't lose any either, so that's good. she's sitting steady at 357 grams and 18 inches long.


weekly weigh-in:

here are some different poses on her hammock. i love how she looks like she's trying to be cool with the way she's holding her left arm ;-)

I love her "prim n propper" hands! Very girlie! 357 is good, they do plateau at this age for awhile! Chencho is sleeping more too Tis the season....

She's looking great She definitely is working on her poses this week ! Lovin the peeks of the belly hanging out too :wink:
Hope she doesn't stay sleepy for long, but certainly sounds like it could be brumation time....

haha, me too! i'm hoping she'll eventually hit another growth spurt - maybe once the winter is over

thanks! this morning, she was begging to come hang out with me. she's been sitting on my shoulder for a few hours now. i wish i never had to go to work.

I smell a new thread...W.H.U. Winter Haters Unite!!! I seriously gain about 10-15 pounds every winter like a big old sleepy bear! It makes me sick :bleick: Honestly, I would brumate if I could!
Is Falcor awake today?
