I have some Hornworms and silkworms. I had there food but i didnt know that it went bad in 3-4 weeks. So now i dont have any food for them till next Tuesday-Wendsday. Is there anything else that i can use for them till then. But i live in Ontario Canada and dont have as much choices as the USA does(like Mulberry trees etc).So can anyone PLEASE HELPPPPP MEEEEE i pais well over $30.00 for the 40 silkworms and 40 Hornworms. In the wild silkworms only eat mulberry leaves, and hornworms only eat stuff that they shouldn't really be gutloaded with as it could be dangerous for beardies (tomato and tobacco leaves). The artificial diet for both is based on wheatgerm with various other things added, so if you can get hold of wheatgerm that might be ok for them for a couple of days, or possibly even a slice of brown bread, but they really do need the chow as they are notoriously fussy eaters, and if you could just feed them wheatgerm or bread, then people would do that instead of spending money on the real thing.

If they were mine and it was a choice between them having no food and dying, or trying something else, I probably would try giving them some bread to tide them over for a couple of days, but I wouldn't have especially high hopes of them surviving.
