Elijah's thread

Hey guys, I know I'm always on here asking questions here there and everywhere so I decided to make a thread about Elijah and his day to day! He has grown up on BD.org with me since I got him Oct 31st. Here are some pics thats I took of him from Oct. to just about a month ago. I just got my digital camera up and working again so more pics on the way.

This was Elijah a couple of days after being home, I didn't realize how snuggly they were (as I type this he is on my shoulder sound asleep with his head under my sweat shirt hoody :love5: )

I let him try Mangos one day! He has never eaten them since! :roll:

This was in his smaller tank, I never got tired of the sexy leg pose :lol:

This pic was taken in Jan I think, he was getting his Facebook on! :wink:

In regards to your questions:
Yep Ca with D3 dusted Mon to Fri and vitamins Sat and Sun, I forget the brand name of the vitamins but it's a multivitamin dust.
He does act different when he is outside, he gets really bright once he gets over the initial fright of being somewhere different and then he gets really active. I tried to feed him crickets outside yesterday (not outdoor crickets, my cricket stock but I brought him outside in his bin to feed him). He had a vet appointment a little over a 2 months ago, he checked out fine according to her. I think I just need to get that hole cut in the screen and that will bring him around. Keep you updated!

I don't know if this was mentioned on the other thread or not, but what are Elijah's basking temps? Sometimes if they aren't warm enough they won't have a good appeitie.

Thanks for the suggestion, his appetite has gotten back to normal and he commenced to wrecking his cage today! I'll post pictures of that ASAP, my husband and I have been moving and we are just trying to get everything straight right now. Elijah doesn't seem to have much relocations stress which is good. His temps I measure with thermometer with a probe and he reads 103 on the basking side and about 85 on the cool side. Thanks again for the input guys!

Just putting it out there how much I hate moving! Elijah took it well though, hardly any stress. I will post pictures as soon as I have a reliable internet connection, this one has a mind of it's own. :roll:

They buried my cable line for decent internet!!! Not too much longer now!!! Elijah is in full shed mode and hating every minute of it, but unlike my last shed, this one has gone without a hitch, even that place in his tail that seemed to refuse to shed on it's own has lost the old skin!!! I'll be keeping you guys updated.

thanks! it's so much fun watching him grow check out his webcam too if you ever get the inkling. he doesn't do much, but i like to sit and watch him while i'm at work. sometimes he surprises me by doing something odd when he doesn't think i'm looking ;-)

Ug, do they really start to brumate before the weather cools down? Is it a month thing?? Elijah isn't thermo regulating he is preferring to stay on the cool side of his tank. I'm still taking a fecal into the vet just in case but he has been getting sleepier. Man I didn't want this time to come...

So Elijah has been more awake and basking the last couple of days. I hope all winter isn't going to be this stressful!! Anyways the big boy got babyfood squash today so I have Squash Face pics!!! Hehehe Iove a good squash face!!
