Egg Flats

Does anyone know where I can get some egg flats? (other than online) I've tried the pet stores and Tractor Supply Co, but nobody had them. We're going to try the feed store (there's only one that I know of around here) when they open on Monday. Should I try some restaurants like IHOP or Denny's? If so, what's the protocol for something like that? Do I just go in and say "Hey! Do you guys have some egg flats I can have?"

I was just trying to find something here so that I can get the bin all set up for the new Dubia colony we just ordered! (Yes, ScubaSteve talked me into it. lol) Thanks for the help guys!

I use drink carriers I get from fast food. Even if i am just buying a drink, i say " can I have a carrier" lol.

I went to ihop,jims,and about 6 mexican food restraunts just asked for them got over 30 no problem.

I was at walmart when they were getting in eggs and they had some in the boxes between the cartons holding the eggs that were for sale. Technically, the ones I got had never touched eggs I only got 4 but that's cause I had to go. My husband works at Wendy's, they just started using real eggs for their breakfast instead of instant. He's working on getting me more flats. If that fails they have cup carriers :lol: I asked walmart's bakery about egg flats and buckets and they will sell me buckets for $1 each but they use instant eggs :roll: so no flats.

Talk to manager or cook they will probably save them over weekend for you, any breakfast place that serves fryed eggs!

Well its weird im trying to figure out what they are actually offering. The picture is of just 1 egg crate, but the description says:

One flat holds a total of 30 eggs. Case of 140 flats.

and its for 15.40$, when I go to calculate shipping it says:

Actual charges may differ, depending on additional options you specify. Your shipping total will be available on the final page before checkout.

Truck Freight - $130.75

And I don't understand why its saying they have to ship it by freight if its only a case of 140 egg crates, and a stack of 100 doesn't really take up that much space...

I'd be cautious of it, the website is a pretty well known website to my understanding, I am just confused about this particular product.

Thats what I don't understand. Why does it need to be shipped freight for a box of 140 egg crates, that first off, doesn't way too much, second off, wouldn't take up too much space. I mean, I guess it would take up a bit of space compared to other packages, but surely not enough to justify a 130$ shipping charge.
