My 2 oldest dragons are maybe a year old give or take a few months, they both have slowed down A LOT with live feeders but still eat a substantial amount of greens, at what age does the greens to live feeder ratio switch? Also whatever live food they dont eat I discard, is it bad to take feeders from one tank and feed them to my other dragons? I suspect it is I just wanted a second opinion, I hate throwing money away.

Mine cut down on live food dramatically at around 11 months, this apparently is normal. She is 14 months now and i feed her 7 superworms in a bowl in the am for her to pick at when she likes and locusts when i get home and always provide fresh salad. I don't think she is eating the salad though, sometimes it has been moved but whether this is from her eating it or standing in it i don't know- i have tried everything :banghead: . Somedays she eats all the live foods, some days a few and other days none. I still offer every day at the moment as she's considered sub adult. At about 18months to 2 years is when they reach full adulthood and should be getting 80%salad, 20% live food. I don't think taking feeders from one tank and giving to another would be bad if your beardies are healthy i.e. no diseases, which i'm sure they haven't got.

At that age i heard brumation starts around a year of age.

Brumation can start at this age but its unlikely at this time of year :D

Thanks for the help.Cat what kind of bowl do you use for supers, I'm worried about them biting them through the day I just bought a lot of them and the dishes I have they climb right out of them so I only feed them supers when I get home from work, because I fed them a few times in the morning and when I get home some are still crawling around as they don't eat as much anymore, plus I just started them on supers they never had them before, they ate a descent amount the first time I fed them but not so much now maybe 3-4 each a day plus some crix in the morning I'm worried about them biting them through out the day.

I use a 2inch deep glass bowl i found at a pet shop- it keeps them in 99% of the time (on the rare occasion 1 little bugger learns how to get out but they hide down the crack of the tile and stay there till i pick them out)- a hamster bowl is a good depth too. You'll need something that has straight sides and fairly deep- i found they escaped from the special worm bowls they sell that have a curved side.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
