I was wondering if it's normal for growing beardies to go through cycles of eating more and then eating less? Pitaya is about 9 months old and she definitely went through a growth spurt between the end of April to now. I've been tracking her weight and length and she went from about 13" to about 14.5" and from 130 grams to 228 grams.
She was gradually eating more and more dubias over these past two months (going from about 25 dubias per day to 35) until finally in the past week or so, it dropped to the lower 20's and then finally under 15.
I am slightly concerned (paranoid?) because she did have a case of pinworms back in February (which we gave her medicine for) and she had stopped eating altogether. Normally when she sees me pulling out the container with her dubias, she gets really excited but the past few days she just kind of ignores me and won't eat unless I put her directly in front of her food. (That said, she was definitely still VERY interested in the blueberries I gave her this afternoon to see if anything could entice her into eating.)
Anyway, just wanted to know if it's normal for her appetite to go up and down depending on how she's growing. Thanks!
