well we think scarlet has Dystocia she digs around and she has stopped eating so we think she might be Dystociatic can anyone give me any advise and what to do. i got her in a black tub right now with alot of potting soil and her basking light in there 2

Can you give me a brief history & rundown on your female?
How old is she? Is this the first time that she has laid eggs before?
Are they fertile or infertile eggs?

What type & brand of UVB are you using, is it a flourescent tube bulb or a compact or coil light? How old is your UVB light?
Do you use calcium on a regular basis?

shes 6 months old
this is her first time laying eggs but i havent seen her laying any eggs. we think she might be binding
zoo-med 10.0 uvb 2 of them "one of them is 6 months old the other is brand new
we did use calcium everyday when she was eating better "on her spper and crix"
now she gets roaches "dubias" without calcium she doesnt like it anymore

Hello, im not too sure as i havent encountered egg laying yet, but i think at 6months she is too yound as they dont reach sexual maturity until about 1 - 1.5yrs?? Anyone correct me if i am mistaken. Could she possible be older? where did you get her from?

No we haven't tried to breed her since we don't have a male beardie that is her size. So we didn't do that. But shes very obnoxious lately. She wont eat unless she's hand fed, she hides a lot, we hear her trying to dig every once in a while.

We took her out of her tank and put her in like a big black container with potting soil and a heat light so she could try to lay the eggs, but she just basked or crawled up to the edge of the container so she was looking out of it. and thats pretty much all she did. Should we have put her night light up? instead of the day one?

It is highly doubtful that she has infertile eggs at 6 months of age.
What are the temps in the tank, & what do you use to measure the temps with? A stick on thermometer, a digital probe or a temp gun? Could it be too hot in there for her?
If she is trying to hide, then it is possible that she is attempting to brumate a little bit.
Are you using a bright white basking light that is directly beside the 2 UVB tube bulbs?

thanks for the reply tracie. Im very happy to see you saying that because she hasn't been digging in the soil I put her in. Um, the temps on her basking spot are about 102-115, I have a 100w basking spot light, but I have a dimmer on it so it's never above that. I use a temp gun. Yes, i have the basking light directly behind the 2 uvb tube bulbs. Here are some pics, maybe you can determine her age by her size.

Oh wow, yes it is too hot in there. 115 is too hot. It should be 100-105

really? i its different on everyspot one spot is 97 one spot will be 115 she like it around 102

Half of the tank needs to be around 80-83 (cool side) and the other side (basking side) needs to be 100-105 for proper digestion. Also , how often do you bathe her?

We bathe her everyday and half the tank is in the 80's.

That is a little warm. The temps of 95-110 are the recommended ranges, so perhaps she was too hot & trying to find a cooler spot to go to. How close is the basking light to her?
I would say she looks at least 6-7 months. How long is she? She is really a pretty girl, too!
How is she doing this evening?

Hopefully you wont have to worry with infertile eggs for awhile!
She is housed alone, correct?

ill play with her temps tomorrow she sleeping right now and i would say her basking light us about 6-7 inches from her basking spot.
shes doing great today she loves to be out of her tank when were home
