Dubia shipment wrong

I decided to try getting dubias from a different supplier. Big mistake. I ordered 10 adult males. Several were dead upon arrival and today I found more dead in the breeder bin. There are only 2 left and I have never had any deaths in my bin until these. The order for 500 small dubias had to be wrong. My 5 month old and almost 6 week old beardies went through them in 3 days. I emailed the supplier but they haven't responded yet. Has any else had order issues with West Coast Roaches? I am pretty disappointed.

I didn't have any die-off problems with my order, but I was shorted about 10% and had another 10% that were really really mis-sized. Also, the cleaner crew I bought along with them never produced any actual cleaners. When I messaged them about it, I got a generic "thanks for ordering" and no offer to try to make it right.

I was wondering if mine were just really piggish or I was shorted. I emailed them but haven't got a response yet.

you're not the first person i've heard of who has had problems with West Coast Roaches.
i bought mine from buydubiaroaches.com and had no problems with them.

I've been ordering most of my dubias from lllReptile this year. Couldn't be happier. Just ordered their housing kit with my last order. Great value. And they have a great selection of other dubia products. Also great customer service anytime I've called with questions. I would check them out. Best of luck!

There's a guy on here who sells them "twobeardieguy" he has a thread in the for sale section. I bought 200 roaches from him a little over a month ago and they are thriving. He is very helpful and makes his own roach food which my dubias seem to love. That being said i wouldn't feed out of my colony right away because they take a little bit to get going after relocation stress. A colony of 500 might be different especially if you have a decent amount of adult females but I was told I should wait a couple months.

I can't and won't comment on the supplier [never worked with them before].

But, with 2 juvi dragons, going through 500+ smalls in 3 days isn't unreasonable. They are little piggies at that age, and the smalls just aren't nearly as filling.

At the time I received the order I was going through 500+ in roughly 6-7 days. When I received this order I was barely able to feed them for 3 days. My youngest beardie at the time was maybe a month old and only eating 25 dubia on a good day. Had West Coast Roaches responded to any of my emails it would not have been an issue. They ignored all my emails and calls. This was no way to treat customers in any business. All of my orders go to Georgia Crickets. I have yet to have any live feeders die from the orders I receive from them.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
