If that's the case, I would use a piece of ½" rigid foam insulation (same footprint as dubia bin), then a layer of aluminum foil (shiny side up), then a towel for some dead air space, then the mats/pads, then the bin on top. You could put a towel down, then the mat, then the bin. That would help. But either way, once your temp gets where it needs to be, the mat will hold it there.
