So, I had a colony of 350 roaches, all mixed sizes. I let them be for about 2 months, and not feeding them off. I then added 1,500 more to that number. Those were larger and had over 30 adult females. I cannot be sure the amount of adult females I currently have but it's over 30 that's for sure.
My plan was to let them all be until September, and THEN start to feed them off. Hoping by then they'd be self sustainable, constantly breeding and such. Until then I would keep feeding crickets. Well, I ordered 2,000 crickets and my son let them get out. So now they're running around the house. I'm like forget that noise.
So I started feeding my two 7" beardies some roaches. Which size roaches should I concentrate on so that I don't mess up my breeding plans? They seem to like inch long roaches, and even eat the adult males with no problem.
Also, how many should I give them per feeding. Been doing 5 1" long roaches every meal. Three meals a day.
Thank you all in advance!
