dropped tail

Just wondering what I should do. Right now the piece is just hanging on, this just happen. I have im soaking in warm water currently. Should I be putting anything on it once I take him out of the water?

The tail dropped from a area of si=kin that would not shed. He was soaked daily but this area would not come off.

For now soak him in a warm betadine solution...should look the color of weak tea. Then apply some neosporin to the wound. If your beardie has any particle substrate in his enclosure remove it you could use paper towels. Then you need to find a vet in your area as it may become infected very easily and will need some antibiotics to fight off infection. And in some cases will need something for pain.
