The kid is a budding psychopath that was doing a trial run for something even more horrendous.As far as the family getting through it, it's going to be a while....years. My home was broke into more than five years ago. The only thing stolen was my dog. I was so distressed I couldn't do my job. Every time I passed someone on the road that I didn't normally see, I would panic. Is that person looking for a place to rob, etc. I would wait in my car at the end of the street and watch that they didn't linger in from of my place. When I would leave for work and while at work, i would worry. Will my other animals be home when I get there? I still worry and it's been half a decade. The police never found out who broke in. Then there were a couple of years of reoccurring dreams. Always the same. I would dream that I found my dog only to realize it wasn't her and essentially I would loose my dog all over again in my dreams. This family will be affected by this for years to come. A break in brings home the fact that safety in your home is an illlusion and you really are at the mercy of others. I can't imagine having my pets killed. The closest thing to it I experienced is some suggesting to me that maybe my dog was taken to be a bait dog for dog fighting. I write this to give insight as to what someone feels after a break in and theft. Five years later I still flashback and cry. Little things. A couple of weeks ago I replaced my extra large dog crate. Well this past week I walked by it and it hit me. The crate I replaced belonged to my stolen dog. It was gone too, just like her. I wish this family the best.
The poor beardie didn't even have a chance, he looked quite healthy, too. This is absolutely horrifying what this country is turning into now.
