Dragon needs fattening up...

I need to fatten up my dragon,

This is a 2 year old Female, 18 inches snout to tail (some of her tail was bitten off as a juvenile, according to previous owner so prob a bit longer)
and iv been told to fatten her up, she has about 30 crickets a day and about 20-30 mario worms a day, i have been told to take her off veg for now.
how can i fatten her up?

She just looks somewhat dehydrated. Taking her greens away is not good advice, keep giving them, they have lots of nutrients and moisture. What size crix are you giving ? She needs adult size, and 10 -15 would be a good meal. Are the 30 she eats in a day small or medium ? Do you give oral hydration via syringe or spray bottle? Just thought I'd mention that bathing only hydrates sufficiently if they drink while in the bath, so if your dragon doesn't drink in the bath, she has to be given water orally. She's not that bad looking, just a little thirsty looking.

She eats large size and I was told to bath her everyday with sugar water. She doesn't tend to orally drink I just bath and spray her.

If you 've only had her for a short while, was she like that when you got her ? If so, it takes a little while to gain weight, 30 crix a day is a huge amount,and that would put some weight on her. Keep adding the greens...collard, mustard, turnip, dandelion, yellow squash, among other veggies. Sugar water should not be used, it is only a home remedy to help reduce swelling in a prolapse [ when a dragon strains to poo or lay eggs and their insides pop out, rectal or cloacal, hemi pene] so just plain water for drinking. When you spray, do it directly and gently on the tip of her nose, she should instinctively lick it as it reaches her mouth.

Yeah she was like this and I spray her back once and then drop some on her nose but she doesn't lick it off. In three weeks of having her I havnt seen her orally take water. There is a water bowl in the viv.

Keep trying the spraying on the nose....sometimes it takes them a minute or two to realize what it is. They hardly ever drink from a bowl of standing water. Also, be sure to wet the greens before you feed them, she will get moisture that way.

If you have been keeping your dragon hydrated and still looks skinny try giving a TREAT of waxworms! While not a staple, these fat little worms will help fatten up your babe, just DO NOT FEED ALL THE TIME because they do not have a lot of nutrients, just helps keep their bones from poking through

I'd do 2x daily warm water bath soaks for 15 minutes a time for two or three days and then do it at least 2x a week from there.

How long do u think it will take to fatten him up??

wow, that is a huge amount that she is eating every day for a 2yr old.

Just a thought, and if i am wrong then i do apologise......... my vet told me that at the age my guys are, which is 18 months, they should be on 80/20 veg/protein. My girl was eating loads, it was only when she became poorly that we did a fecal and she had coccidia, apparently their appetite grows due to the parasites getting all the goodness from their food????

I dunno hopefully someone will clarify this, but it may be worth getting a fecal done.
