So me and Dorito had to move down the Virginia Beach 2 weeks ago. I haven't driven much with him, and for very long at that.
So the whole process was new to both of us and was a bit complicated as it was just me and him. So I had to move him into a temporary home and I put him in a t shirt, which usually he'll ko for hrs until I let him out or pokes his head out around noon (which he did).
It was a 7 and a half hr trip, lots of wind and vibrations. I was worried he was freaked out, I'm sure he was a bit. I kept him in his 40 gallon lined with two big towels and obv no loose decor.
We got in around 5pm, he was a little shaken up. Took about a week for him to feel comfortable. Now I have him in his new bedroom with 2 huge natural light windows. Peace and quiet. Able to run around the room.
He is now his bright Orange and seems at complete ease! Give him a nice bath each morning, while I stretch next to his bath as he soaks up the sun. Also started a new feeding technique where I put a super worm on the ground far away so he has to hunt it down. It's a fun game and keeps him active and healthy.
Anyway, so overall it was a success!
