I am currently in the process of looking around to get my first bearded dragon, I have everything ordered and shipped. This little baby looks pretty healthy, and is such a cool color, but I was just wondering if he looks healthy to someone who is more trained and knows exactly what to look for. Also about what age do you all think he is? Seems to be close to a year old to me, but again i'm still fairly new to these guys

Hi there....I can only see one picture of the 4 for some reason. It doesn't look bad, but then I can't see the foot that they say was born deformed ? If I could see the foot I might be able to tell you if it looks more like a bite from a sibling [ which is common ] If the dragon was born last year it is at least 8 months old, so it's on the small side. Not to say that it's unhealthy, just a tad small.

I emailed the poster for more pictures and just information on his health, how active he is, and as to how well he poops/sleeps/eats. Hopefully will get a response soon

I looked again and now I see the pics. He's very pretty, just a wee bit thin but actually a decent size if he is 8-9 months old. It would be good to ask about the diet, then you'll know what to get for him that he's used to. I think the back foot is missing a few toes....that's the only foot that stands out . If so, that's not a problem at all.

I hope its not crickets or roaches because i am horrified of both. I plan on feeding my beardie hornworms and phoenix worms

Oh well, most beardies love hornworms + phoenix worms so you won't have a problem getting him to eat those, but it is good to feed them the crunchier bugs as well.

It says veggies, crickets, and mealworms. Mealworms are not good, so I hope she means she feeds them only as a treat

The owner told me "he gets fed vegetables every 3 days and mealworms ever 4 days (with the occasional cricket)." I feel the desperate need to rescue this cute little guy before he gets starved :-(

I understand the feeling of wanting to rescue him and give him a better life. I encourage that. Do keep in mind that you may need to have money set aside for vet visits, parasite treatments, or other medical expenses as well as monthly costs for food. Having all the lighting dialed in just right and using a high quality UVB light plays an important role in nursing a dragon back to health if they've had it rough. It's also good to know that they can take more time and care. They may be weak and need extra time and effort to get them fed and get them medicated if needed. They may also be distrustful so it takes a lot of interaction and patience to earn their trust and win them over. I'm not saying this will be the case here and every dragon is a bit different. It's just something to keep in mind. If you are prepared for that then I say go for it. It's very rewarding.

Good comments from Cooper. So the owner doesn't feed him quite enough, but he looks healthy and looks to be easy to handle. Check him out in person and you'll see if you really want him. I think he looks pretty good. :)

hopefully within this upcoming week I should have everything I need for my setup, and have it all actually set up including some worms. So maybe soon i'll be able to get a bearded dragon, even if it's not exactly this one. I just liked his colors a lot and he looked very healthy, albeit a lil skinny

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
