I have done some looking into this issue. And as far as i can find there has not been any resurch into bearded dragon psychology. Maybe someone should try to replicate the rhesus monkey experement by harry harlow, except with dragons. Untill there is extesive research into the acctual psychology of beardes there is no way for anyone to say whether they can love anyone. Another issue that gos along with this is what is love. Everyone keeps sayimg its not love its just that they are comfortable with you and feel safe with you. But isnt that what love is. That you are comfortable and feel safe with someone/something else. In that respect they can love. Just looking at this with an open mind.

I merely bought his lighting set up, with him the same day, even though it wasn't right, it still temporarily saved me £40, and as dragon PLUS lighting was only £40, I'd say I picked up a real bargain.

Dragon Plus is a LED lighting system, is it not? I am unfamiliar with this lighting system, I'm curious, do LEDs actually radiate the necessary heat.

That is exactly what I was trying to say earlier but you said it a lot better. I compared dogs and cats to bd's because some say dogs can love but I guess what I should have said is what you said.
I do think it is love but it is at a diferent level. Many of our bds love to snuggle, get excited to see us, know us as their provider, and etc. I know my bd fights me when I go to put her back into her viv.
They can have fear and anger so why not other feelings.

Not that I am aware of. There is a LED lighting system called 'Dragon Plus', but it is just a 'brand name' for a regular LED lighting system with all sorts of different display types & applications, has nothing to do with reptiles or BDs. I misunderstood CV's post, thus the confusion :lol: .

I think you can use LED lights for just visual light though. I have LED lighting for my aquarium, and I love it! But they are expensive, which is why I just use energy saver coiled lights for Dud's visual light.

Yes that is true, they would work well for visual light to brighten the display if needed or if you want to go to the expense.

Jess: I know someone who has the LED fish tank lights! It makes the tank really pretty and bright, too! I like the bluish tint it gives the water. Especially with saltwater aquariums because the coral inside reflects the blue and the fish are all so bright... lol i'm gonna stop it's making me want a fish tank!! Oh yeah for a visual bulb I use a regular Energy Saver multi-purpose bulb, too. It's for the cool side because the cool side is always darker than the hot side. lol

It's what I was trying to get across in my post as well. I think I may have gotten a little too "science-y" or into the domestication of animals for people to understand it.

Well I HAVE JUST HAD ENOUGH of all this scientific mumbo jumbo -,.,- for those Beardie owners out there who know the relationship they share with there "UNDERDEVELOPED" Reptiles I bow to you. For I too know Yuki is more than just a reptile with no feelings, for who are we to say a creature has no feelings...I have news for you.. humans are not the almighty knowing...and science..well lets say there are allot of "holes"
