Do you move them when they sleep?

One of our babies always elects to sleep in her fuzzy blankie. The other usually ignores the blankie and picks the most uncomfortable looking corners in or around his wooden "tunnel," usually right up against the glass. He looks so cold an uncomfy that, about 2/3 of the time, I pick him up and move him to the blankie. But, because of the way his enclosure is arranged, I have to move several pieces of beardie furniture to do this, so it is quite a pain for me and probably disruptive for him. Should I just leave him alone? Do you feel the need to move your BD when they are sleeping in what looks like an uncomfortable position?

i sometimes do.. but i don't because i think they're uncomfortable. from reading the various other threads, a lot of bd's sleep in corners or against glass. I just pick her up and but her in a beardie burrito somtimes to help her get used to me. I read that holding them as they are falling asleep or before they do are the best ways to get your bd aquainted to you.

I move Scorch every night because he falls asleep on someone then we place him into the viv to sleep in his little bed that we only put in @ bedtime and take out in the morning. He doesn't mind and it gives us cuddle time :D He's always in the same spot when we get up in the morning to turn the light on. If he is not ready to get up he will move further back into the blanket instead of poking his head out to soak up the heat.

I move Judah around all the time. He sleeps like the dead so he never even wakes up for any of this. I also Remove him from his hide in the morning and plop hin under the Cer heat Emit, otherwise he would stay in his hide all day and snooze, hes a lazy guy, hes got me trained well :whip: I wouldnt worry about moving him around if he looks on comfortable, I dont think they really mind.

Unless we see that Cloudy's in some possibly hazardous position, we go ahead and leave him. He finds some pretty silly places, and positions. We actually get a kick out of checking in on him to see what the tonight's sleep position is. (Our personal fav is when he stands on his hind legs in the corner of the enclosure, limbs spread, face to the glass... looks like he's under arrest!)

The other night, he got himself wedged into his plants. LOVES sleeping on his leaves, and it's usually no problem but, I was concerned because he was in there in such a way that it appeared if he lost his balance he could get caught up (he's a baby, and little to boot). I went ahead and moved him which was no easy task! He roused a tinge, but was back to sleep in a mere moment, on his vine, safe.

The only other time we move him is to 'cuddle up.' He LOVES to sleep on someone, so if we see him nodding off for a late afternoon nap, we gather him up, wrap him in his "sock" and he sleeps on someone's chest, or hangs out with me here at the computer, while I'm making dinner, etc. If I set him down, I plop him on the counter next to me (sock burrito and all) on a hot water bottle, filled with warm water from the tap. Cozy, snuggly little thing. He simply can't be resisted!

Let him sleep wherever he's comfortable. As long as your cage is safe and the temperatures kept properly, then there shouldn't be any problem.

Always :D Most of the time she chooses to sleep on her fleecy bed and I just cover her with her fleecy blanket but sometimes, she burrows under it or just sleeps on the bare tile. If she does this, I move her to her bed and cover her up and she normally stays like that tille the morning. A coupld of times the other week, she fell asleep on her log so I just left her there and put her blanket on. I am so :whip:

Chimera's goes to sleep on my desk every night in *his* placemat. He takes his naps on my desk too. I just pick it up and place it in his viv. He crawls out when ever he is ready to get up. Hes sooo spoiled.

I only occasionally do, if I fear he might fall in the position he wants to sleep in, ie with 1 half the body off the hammock and the other 1/2 on.
I saw another poster that said they just put a blanket over them even on a branch--won't they fall off?

Nope!
I usually put their blankies over them right where they have fallen asleep if that's in their viv that is.
If they fall asleep out of viv I just wrap them into a beardie burrito and place them in their favorite spot to sleep in their viv. :)

My beardie Sunny, has slept in some very weird positions and he has never been bothered by them. Occasionally I do move him, as he falls asleep on me or something, and I place him back in his cage for the night. Whenever I do move him, he never seems bothered. If he is already in the cage though, I usually leave him and he seems to always do fine.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
