I already have 2 dogs and a cat in bed with me, and a parrot that can't be trusted not to try to kill all of them out of jealousy - the last thing I need is a lizard that wants to sleep with me, too.
My question is about affection. My newly adopted 3 yr old BD was handled when he was really little, but not much after that. Now he supposedly bites if you try to pick him up, which I have not yet attempted - this is what I heard from his previous owner. What I do is take a blush brush, and use that to pet his head and back. He seems to like it, doesn't try to get out of the way or bite the brush, and closes his eyes blissfully....my question is, DO they like to be touched or is he just tolerating me? After noticing he didn't mind the brush, I use my hands now too to pet him - but I don't know much about these lizards - and am wondering what they like, and how you can tell if they like it?
