Do you have a bed buddy?

Is it weird that I let my boys sleep on the opposite side of the bed that I don't sleep on? I wrap them up in a blanket and kiss them goodnight and then have cuddle time in the morning.

Any cute stories or anyone else sleep with your babies? :) Hoping I'm not the only one here!

I always sleep with my big baby! He is the biggest cuddle bug no matter what time it is. If I go for a nap I find him cuddled against my leg when I wake up.

I already have 2 dogs and a cat in bed with me, and a parrot that can't be trusted not to try to kill all of them out of jealousy - the last thing I need is a lizard that wants to sleep with me, too.

My question is about affection. My newly adopted 3 yr old BD was handled when he was really little, but not much after that. Now he supposedly bites if you try to pick him up, which I have not yet attempted - this is what I heard from his previous owner. What I do is take a blush brush, and use that to pet his head and back. He seems to like it, doesn't try to get out of the way or bite the brush, and closes his eyes blissfully....my question is, DO they like to be touched or is he just tolerating me? After noticing he didn't mind the brush, I use my hands now too to pet him - but I don't know much about these lizards - and am wondering what they like, and how you can tell if they like it?

i have a almost 6 month old and he has been sleeping with me since he was 3 months old. he sleeps on a pillow beside me till he's fully grown. because he's a small boy. but Elyott will not sleep in till i put him to bed beside me. he will just pace the enclosure. and i know this because i was doing homework one night and forgot what time it was. 11 at night he was pacing and waiting for me.

My bearded dragon Zeus has been sleeping in a drawer next to my bed since September, and he loves it. He only wakes up when I put him back, and when I wake up and go back to sleep he opens one eye and goes back to sleep too. I also have a person heating pad under him and put it on for an hour at night. He also has a big fluffy blanket that he loves. He still sleeps in his cage when I'm not around though on the weekends.

hmmm....is it just my lizard or are beardies very lazy and really enjoy sleepy time? My Wubzy is either wide awake or looks dead. I have to poke him sometimes just to make sure he is really alive.

hahah I know exactly what the death glare is about  and to answer your question Bhavana, beardies are very personable and as you can tell from this thread, very lovable toward their owners. That being said, they do seem to really enjoy being handled and attention from their owners. I know my boys, along with other posters beardies on here, scratch on the glass because they want out and attention. YES they are very lazy. One of mine loves to wonder when he is outside of the tank though because he is curious. It may just take some time for your beardie to warm up to you and build that trust. Just take small steps like you have been doing. You can even let him sleep with a t-shirt of yours that you wore that day so he picks up your scent. That can be comforting to them. Your beardie sounds like he is a very friendly one, just got forgotten about for a while and may just be a little rusty :). I promise you that if you take little steps, he will be your new buddy as well just like all of ours! :D It's just about trust!

Good Luck! :D

PS- My little one has come to the point of not being able to fall asleep until I lay with him. He will stay awake and wait for me at the end of the bed until I come and lay down next to him. Then he is out. Cute :)

i have no idea what the last post was about, but last night i had Elyott sleep with me because we just moved and i was sleeping on the couch because we hand't gotten beds set up and Elyott won't sleep in the enclosure so he slept in my arms. he moves in his sleep.. he makes swimming motions which woke me up and at raondom he jump on my face.. he is not one you want to sleep in your arms all night.

My last post was an answer to this post. And sounds like your little guy is cute to sleep with! It's so weird that he moves in his sleep!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
