is it possible that some beardies like it cooler than others????
I have a 90 gal tank
150 watt basking light
100 & 150 watt heat emitter ( I turn them on seperatly or at the same time depending on how cold the house is)
10.0 48" Reptisun UVB blub
The basking temp is usually around 90 - 100 (Saphira keeps moving my temp prob, so my readings vary)
The cool end is usually between 70 -75
The tank has a tile substrate with a her basking log on one end and a sand box in the other. I gave her a repti hammock over the sand box which she preceed to turn into a hide (so I covered it with cloth)
What I am getting it at is that so far it seems that she doesn't like to be in the heat very much.
She climbs into the hide every night to sleep, and doesn't seem to come out of it unless I pull her out, when I do pull her out she seems to go back in shortly after. Shes' not very active in her tank. I pull her out becuase I know she needs the heat and the UVB for proper digestion.
When I take her out of the tank she's very active, running around climbing what she can, and digging at what she can too.
SO I am really wondering if there are some beardies who could be more comfortable with the temps lower and is that ok?
