Do bearded dragons really need night heat?

I use a ceramic heat, but some people have told me that it isn't necessary and is in fact, stupid that I use one. Is this true? Well, no I'm not really asking if it is necessary or not I'm more asking, would the beardie prefer to have night heat? My guys seem fine with or without. All three of them always wake up with stress marks though, is that normal? They go away once they are up and moving.

I've heard that it is needed if below 65, but my house never drops that low. Does this mean if I am using it while my house it in mid 70s that I am dishing out the something that my guys don't want or need?

no you should be fine, they need it to be a little cooler to allow for sleep, my beardies have no heating and the temps do not drop below 65 at night either.

I used to leave their light on low through winter as our house does drop really cold over the colder months (plus i was overly worried being a new beardie mom). Now everything is on a timer to go off at 9pm and they're temps have been absolutely fine.
