do bearded dragons attract flies?

man i got so many flies buzzing around my room now...and it seem to happen when i got my BD.

We never have flys in our house and i have 4.

Or bring in any new plants? I had an indoor tree once that brought in a ton of flies.

they are all over his viv no where else in the house....i just built him a custom viv i hope thats not attracting them

Also they seem to be bothering socrates a little, and he ate a few...i just dont know the cause or how to get rid of em

Wow! I have never heard of a fly problem with a beardie. As Christy mentioned... are you cleaning the poo out of the viv daily?
Did you happen to start using any new foods that could be attracting the flies?
There is definitely something(other than the beardie) that is attracting the flies. What, if any, things are different in your beardies vivs?

ya its something in my house i guess...when i was building the cage it took me about 5 days and the cage was left outside covered for those 5 days so i dunno if that has anythign to do with it....I clean the cage daily, there is either something in my house or it got something from sitting outside, iam gonna by fly traps and clean the whole house and cage and go from there,

Ya i know its very risky, not as risky as lightning bugs, ive been working hard all day doing everything i found on the internet as well as cleaning every nook and crany of the house.

the flys seem to have gone, i see 1 or 2 random ones but i left the doors open all day, did a nice summer cleaning, got some mint and some kind of oil they hate, some sticky paper and they are pretty much gone , hope nothing comes of the 1 or 2 he ate!
