Some pictures of what I’m talking about. Clementine is a rescue, probably about 6 years old. She has already shed her face completely and she was finished 2+ weeks ago and her skin looked a normal sandy yellow until a few days ago.
She was seen by a vet 2 months ago and we had her on antibiotics to clear up parasites. Just got another fecal because of diarrhea and she is positive for a different parasite which I believe she got from her crickets and she will be a different medication for that soon.
Her tank:
~83 degrees cool side, one large tree stump hide
~95 degrees basking side with hammock and cork ornament
~ 68-75 degrees at night with ceramic bulb
ceramic bulb+red basking light during day
new 10uvb strip bulb
Humidity is difficult to control, even with small dehumidifier inside ~35/45%
Repticarpet
I clean tank once a week, bath her every 2 days.
She has been eating very little as I’ve been attempting to train her to eat veg and fruit. She was only fed pellets and insects by previous owner and is extremely stubborn. I’m sure her current parasite has also contributed to her lack of appetite. Please let me know if this is something I should worry about. I read somewhere that red lights can be harmful, so I’m thinking I should switch out her basking light. I only recently put it in as a backup when my reg one went out. Could it be burning her face?
Thanks in advance.
