She's back to being "a lot of work" but, hopefully, this will be the LAST problem she has. So frustrating. Hangin' in there... I left a message for the vet on Friday asking her why Dino needs to continue the Baytril. The receptionist/vet tech was going to ask her the question and call me back. Never heard back. Maybe she forgot or got busy or something. I'll call back again tomorrow. If long term antibiotic use is part of the problem, I would think we should get her off anything she doesn't really "need" to be on. I also don't know if the culture showed something else that she needs the Baytril to treat.
She doesn't look very happy about being in the little tank again. Kinda drab lookin' in color. I had just put a new wood piece in the big tank and she looked SO BRIGHT and happy hanging out on it under her light! She was the BRIGHTEST I had ever seen her, in spite of the eye infection. I think the pieces I have in there hold too much heat and she doesn't like them very much. She's not sitting on them. She's in the other corner so, too hot. I moved the light last night but she's still over there this morning. The wood piece doesn't heat up that way. *sigh* Adjusting, adjusting. The difference in the little tank this time is that I took the screen off and I'm using the clamps. I knew that screening filtered the light, but WOW... I might hafta change the bulb to a 50 watt. I'm trying to eliminate as much "touching" of surfaces and what not as possible. That's why I'm trying to work without the screen top. Always a challenge with Dino. Still love her to pieces though!
