i can't find any for sale on the internet, is it the black non-slip stuff?

oh, and i saw a video in which the man was using a coconut husk subtrate, but it i read into it and it says it would make the viv very humid, any tried/know if you can use this with beardies?

No... coco fiber is not good too moist..good for when they are laying infertile eggs.....do you have a doller store in your area?or drug store or hardwarestore or walmart?all of these places sell soft shelf liner. It comes in many colors...tan.. green..orange..brown
Impaction from digesting loose substrate can kill your beardie.
Also do you have a hide on your viv?A place where he can go in and cool off or sleep or just have private time?a shoe box works or they sell caves pre made?

Ive heard that beardies don't need hides and they'll spend most of their time in there instead of basking if given the opportunity. i got some tiles from B&Q they're really nice and were only £10 for a box of about 8. I need someone to fit them properly (i wasted 3 tring to cut them myself :? ) so i've had to put substrate down the side for now but here's a pic (the green bundle is Terri asleep in her blanket):

Since your dragon is new, he is almost certainly fearful and trying to hide. And the other poster is correct, wood chips [and crushed walnut shells] are not acceptable substrate. Very easy to accidentally eat and then impact the dragon.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
