Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm going to order a 25watt bulb from LLL reptile here soon and see if that works. His basking temps got to 109 yesterday, it was really hot outside. He doesn't like to bask when it's above 103 really. He will sit there for a while and then move down the log where the temp is about 101 around there. I just want to get his basking area up higher so he can be closer to the UVB when he basks. I have tried regular house bulbs and the temp drops to 80 I even tried a 150watt. I know I can use a halogen bulb though too right? May be those get warmer? I'll try the 25watt and see how that goes, I guess it's good to know that the AC in my house isn't making it too cold though! :roll:
